Disclosure: I received a discounted date box in exchange for a Bonding Bees review. This post also includes affiliate links.
I have been wanting to try a date subscription box for a long time. While there are a lot on the market, I’ve been less then impressed by pictures of their content. Until I came across Bonding Bees. Kayla Pickana launched her company several months ago and I was intrigued from the beginning.
What I Love about Bonding Bees:
They give back by sponsoring children in need, so every date box you buy is helping that cause.
Everything you need for the date is included, so no running around trying to find extra items.
All the ingredients are included for a snack or dessert, not just a recipe card like some other date subscription boxes.
There are activities specifically developed for growing your relationship and solidifying your bond as a couple.
Multiple activities are included in each date box.
There is an item included that you can use again.

Our Date Box
August’s Theme was a Night in Hollywood. Here’s all the goodies:
Thumbprint Art
The instructions were to make a heart using our thumbprints on the canvas. We decided to go for more hearts and “Love you” in the middle of the canvas. It is hard to get my husband to do creative things with me, so this was the perfect opportunity to get crafty without overwhelming him too much. There were also magnets included so we can stick our finished artwork on the fridge.
Game
The game for the month was “Name that Star” and we had to take turns trying to get each other to name movie titles and actors with the included timer. It definitely had some funny moments, such as when my husband misread Elf and described it as a movie with a brown alien that came down to earth.
Monthly Challenge
The challenge was for each of us to pick a favorite movie for a double feature. The catch: no vetoes allowed! So my husband picked a sci fi flick and I choose a movie from the 1950s. It was an opportunity for both of us to expand past our comfort zones in movie viewing.
Photo Booth Activity
Between the two movies we got our sillies on with the included props and selfie stick. There were suggested poses along with questions to get us thinking about our relationship and what we love about each other.
Snack
There was popcorn and a choice of either a cheese or cinnamon brown sugar mix-in. We went with the cheese and will use the other another time. So yummy!

Who says kids should have all the fun?
Thanks Linda! It was a fun date and I would definitely recommend this subscription box if you want to try one out.
Sounds like a fun way to break the normal routine!
Definitely a good way to spice up a day spent at home.
