One of my favorite Christmas traditions is “stockings hung from the chimney with care.” In my family, even though we are all adults, we still get stocking stuffers from our parents. And last year my husband and I filled stockings of smaller gifts instead of giving each other a large gift. Here are some stocking stuffer ideas for men that I’ve gathered to inspire you in filling a stocking for your husband:
Want to give your husband the giggles on Christmas morning?
Last year, since we were engaged at the time, I gave my husband the little reprinted book from 1913, Don’ts For Husbands. These words of wisdom vary from the quaint to the quite applicable and are fun to read together and laugh over on Christmas morning.
Something for Their Sweet Tooth
The adult version of the stocking stuffer orange. Track down their favorite (but perhaps hard to locate) drink, snack, or candy.
My husband loves his ginger ale, especially Blenheim, which is hard to find outside of the south. Harry Potter fan? Treat them to butter beer. Or stock up their Keurig with their favorite specialty drink K-cups.
Is your love a traveler? The perfect stocking stuffer may be a candy or snack they might miss from their time in another country or from a place they want to travel to, such as British chocolate Smarties for an anglophile.
Want to bring them back to their childhood? Pick up their favorite nostalgia candy in bulk, such as atomic fire balls.
Something for a Hobby
Is your guy an ultimate fan? Celebrate their love of with this Lego Yoga Light Keychain.
Could they use something for use with one of their hobbies? How about these yoga socks for the Yogi or new strings for a guitarist? Have they expressed interest in exploring a new hobby? Get them the tools they need to get started.
Something for the Christmas Tree
A fun tradition is giving an ornament for the Christmas tree every year.
Choose an ornament that represents a hobby they have or a meaningful moment from the last year, such as this beautiful glass blown baseball from Old World Christmas. They have dozens of ornaments from animals, to sports, to food, to hobbies, and even a toilet plunger!
Where have you traveled in the last year? You can also choose an ornament that features or represents one of those places, like this Costa Rica ornament to remember our honeymoon with.
Something for Veg Time
One of our favorite pastimes is enjoying tv shows and movies while cuddling on the couch. It’s a great way to unwind either by yourself or as a couple and as a result, a great stocking stuffer for men.
What is your favorite Christmas movie? Share a old or new classic with your husband other over some hot chocolate, such as the hilarious Elf or nostalgic It’s a Wonderful Life, which my husband and I watched together last Christmas season.
What was your favorite movie that you two you watched in the theater in the last year? Last Christmas I choose Les Miserables because we had seen the play on Broadway. Finding Dory and Jason Bourne were two of our favorite movies from 2016.
What is the TV show that your husband is obsessed with? Can you not tear your sci fi lover away from Doctor Who? Grab a season of a old or new favorite.
